The União line is produced with selected raw materials with superior quality. The product's manufacturing process provides União Refined Sugar with higher purity content with regard to saccharose, giving both beverages and prepared foods better flavor. The high sweetening power of União Light (two times greater than traditional sugar) allows for a 50% reduction in the amount of sugar used and consequently a 50% reduction in calories, without any loss in flavor. The sachets of União Granulated Refined Sugar and União Light were developed to sweeten at just the right amount in a practical and hygienic manner. Cristalçucar, frequently used for making sweets and cakes, and to sweeten beverages, is extracted from the first process of sugar manufacturing. In order to attend to market demands, the União family also has the Neve and Duçula refined sugar brands in its portfolio.
União specialties
Besides the refined, light and crystal sugars, the União brand offers the Premium, Sugar Cubes, Glaçúcar and Doçúcar specialties. União Premium is an export quality, granulated and refined sugar that undergoes a controlled crystallization process using advanced technology. Thus, its crystals are smaller and more uniform, giving it a noble and crystalline appearance resembling tiny diamonds. União Sugar Cubes are made of refined, granulated sugar and were developed to sweeten teas, juices, coffees and beverages in general in style and in just the right amount. Refined Glaçúcar powdered sugar is a product with very fine granulation, ideal for preparing icings, whipped creams and meringues. Doçúcar is refined and granulated with thick crystals. It is excellent for preparing syrups, caramelized sweets, puddings and canned or jarred fruits.

The União Cereal Bars, sold in their normal and light versions, are directed towards consumers looking for quick foods that are both healthy and taste good, yet have few calories. Made with natural ingredients and pieces of fruit, they are ideal to be consumed at any time, any place. The traditional version can be found in Banana with Chocolate and Strawberry with Yogurt flavors. The light version of the Cereal Bars has all the flavor found in the traditional version and 25% fewer calories. They are available in Chocolate Covered Strawberry, Yogurt Covered Peach, Chocolate Covered Apricot and Yogurt Covered Fruit Mix flavors.
