The Teaçu General Warehouse was founded in 1997 with the specific purpose of implementing an export and import terminal in the primary zone of the Port of Santos for vegetable origin products in bags and in bulk, such as sugar, coffee, soy bean, rice, and others. It has four external warehouses, numbers IV, IX, XIV, XIX, two internal warehouse, numbers 16 and 17 and a docking pier. The company warehouses are freely accessed by highways and railroads, permitting product traceability of the products until they are loaded on the ships. With a high degree of automation and computerization in its processes, Teaçu developed an on-line service rendering system for the customer. This method follows the load from the moment the truck leaves the mill until it reaches the port, when it is released for unloading. With this, the customer knows precisely where the vehicle is and how long it is taking.
